Join us for an afternoon reading with three acclaimed Northern California poets.

Benjamin Gucciardi, a San Francisco native, is the author of Arguments (Persea Books, 2026), winner of the Lexi Rudnitsky Editor's Choice Award, and West Portal, winner of the Agha Shahid Ali Prize. His poems have appeared in POETRY, Kenyon Review, and American Poetry Review. He also founded Soccer Without Borders, and he still works with refugee and immigrant youth.

Tim Hunt, originally from Sebastopol, is the author of seven poetry collections, most recently Then Back Again to Now. He is a six-time Pushcart Prize nominee and a noted scholar of Jack Kerouac. He also edited the five-volume Collected Poetry of Robinson Jeffers.

Katie Peterson is the author of Fog and Smoke (FSG, 2024) and five earlier collections, including the Rilke Prize–winning The Accounts. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic and The New York Review of Books. She is a Professor of English at UC Davis.

Come for the poems and stay for the conversation, here on Gate Five Road, where Bay Area poetry has deep roots.
